If you are looking for the perfect cozy, slouchy beanie look no further! The Camp Beanie is my go to hat. This is the Beanie that I would always throw in my bag when I was out and about on a camping adventure, hence the name. The original design was a little rough so I updated the pattern and decided to share it with you all. The Camp Beanie features a double brim, seed stitch panels for some texture and beautiful lateral braids running throughout. This pattern is knit in the round from the brim up. If you need help knitting the Lateral braid or you want a step by step walk through I’ve linked my YouTube tutorials below. I hope you enjoy!

Notes:
You can easily adjust the size of your beanie by adjusting the number of CO stitches for the brim. You can adjust the number of stitches in the body of the hat as well. The brim can be adjusted by multiples of two and the body of the hat has to be an odd number of stitches in order for the seed stitch pattern to work. Just make sure the brim is divisible by two and the body of the hat is an odd number and you should be good to go. After I knit the brim I knit one increase round and that is the round in which you can adjust the number of stitches you’d like for the body of your beanie
Instructions:
Using 5.0 mm 16 inch circular knitting needles CO 88 sts and join in the round.
Double Brim: *K1 TBL, P1 TBL* until the brim measures 4 inches in length from the cast on (CO) edge. Next, Fold the brim inward and knit the edges together (see video)
Single Brim: *K1, TBL, P1 TBL* for 12 rounds
Once brim is complete continue onto the set up round: KFB, *K*
(We are increasing by one stitch only from 88 to 89 sts.)
Body: Before beining the body of your hat be sure you knit your set up round first! Set up round KFB, *K*. If you want to increase by more stitches feel free just make sure it is an odd number of stitches.
